A cutting/serving board is one of the most ESSENTIAL tools in the kitchen. And it's something that you'll use every single day.
This board is made from a piece of wood that I hand picked out of a larger quantity of boards earlier this year. I absolutely love how this board has some beautiful colors and grain throughout! It also has a touch of spalting. This is when a log gets bacteria inside it while it’s breaking down and they leave this beautiful lines and colors in their wake. This is an face grain board, and can be used for every day use, but will show knife marks more easily. I personally would use this as a serving or charcuterie board. To keep this board looking beautiful, wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. NEVER soak a wooden cutting board. And if the board starts looking dull, you can always apply some food grade Mineral oil and B.P. Farms Wood Butter.
This cutting board has been finished with food safe Mineral Oil, Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil and rubbed down with B.P. Farms Wood Butter.
